BPF felicitates students

The Bhotgaon and Baruapara primary committee of BPF party felicitated the first division holder students of HS & HSLC final examinations at a function held at Bhotgaon ME school today in Kokrajhar. 

At total of 32 students from both examination was given warm felicitation with traditional Pulam Gamocha and gift bundle in the presence of guardian and students. 

Former minister and Kokrajhar East MLA Pramila Rani Brahma grace as chief guest and felicitated the students. 

Brahma said that the felicitation function was organised to create educational atmosphere among society in the area. She had urged the students to be dedicated more whole taking higher studies in life. 

Among others, Umarani Basumatary, secretary women BPF was also present in the meeting with Sue man Ali Mandal in the  chair. 

Peoples from Bhotgaon and Baruapara area of Kokrajhar expressed their happiness for holding felicitation programme for the first time ever from a party that held to felicitate first division holder students in the area.

KLO leader killed in Kokrajhar

A self styled deputy commander in chief of Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) was killed in an encounter with security forces at Shiljan area in Kokrajhar district today. Army unit from Red Horns Division in association with Kokrajhar civil administration distributed furniture, school bag,study materials and sports items among students of Jharbari ME school on Wednesday at Jharbari in Kokrajhar district.  The distribution was a noble endeavour to encourage students while promoting education and sports amongst youths in the region. The Kokrajhar Municipality Board launched its Swach Kokrajhar Mission & Green Kokrajhar Mission today at a function here held at Basic Training Centre in the presence of huge public and officials in Kokrajhar to make the town garbage free zone.
