VCDC chairman arrested

Police arrested former chairman and a member of Habrubari Village Council Development Committee(VCDC) under Serfanguri police station following allegations of Jobcard anomalies under MGNREGA schemes in Kokrajhar district.

The police arrested Andreyo Jwhwlao Hazoary,former chairman and Tarani Roy,member of Habrubari VCDC on Tuesday under FIR registered number 61/12015 at Serfanguri police station that filed under 420/471/409/34 IPC in May last.

The arrested duo were produced to CJM court and sent to 14 days judicial custody in Kokrajhar,said a senior police officer.
