The road communication was totally disrupted between Beswargaon Aitugaon Road via Simbargaon under Kokrajhar PS following wooden bridge was washedd out for flash flood waters y Kokrajhar on Sunday. The wooden bridge at Aitugaon was washed out for flood waters

which is the only road communication for the grater Simbargaon area of Kokrajhar. Villagers of Aitugaon, Kalugaon, Beswargaon, Simbargaon expressed their resented for washed out of wooden bridge of which why residents have to face hardships in communication since saturdaVillagers urged the concern authority to make alternative way to avail communication in the region.

Mohilary demands more police

BPF President and BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary demanded more police station and police outpost in the BTAD area to counter militancy as well as anti-social activity. Mohilary said that the council had demanded for establishing more police station and outposts in the remote areas of BTAD, but yet government has not been giving stressed on the demands. Full scale combing operation in BTAD

NIA team arriving today

A fact finding NIA team is arriving in BTAD areas for preliminary probe into the BTAD bloodletting. The investigation agency team is scheduled to hold talks with senior officials of police, army and para military forces.The investigation team agreed to probe the bloodbath after the Chief Minister wrote to the home ministry seeking a thorough probe into it.

BPF not involved in killings: Mohilary

BPF President and BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary said that BPF and ex-BLT are not involved with the killing of innocent peoples in BTAD region. Mohilary told Assam Times that BPF and Ex-BLT are not involved with any massacre in the region. He said that main involved culprits would be booked through the investigation as the government has initiated for investigation into incidents through NIA. He has expressed his hopefulness and said that culprits will be arrested and punished after investigations.

BTAD miscreants being identified!

The trouble mongers in BTAD will be identified in a day or two. Curfew relaxed for four hours in Kokrajhar

The indefinite curfew imposed in Kokrajhar since last night had relaxed for four hours today from 12 noon to 4 pm on its second day of imposition in the district and again resumed after 4 pm in the entire district, said district magistrate in Kokrajhar.Peoples in Kokrajhar have been facing hardships during curfew as all business, shop, market and road communications were remained closed. ADGP Rout visits Kokrajhar

Assam additional director general of police AP Rout said that there are 10 additional paramilitary companies arrived in BTAD to take security measures, of which three for Kokrajhar district. Taking stock of the Balapara incident and Rout visited the killing spot at Balapara under Tulsibil police outpost in Gossaigaon sub-division, Kokrajhar on Friday. He said that NDFB (Songbijit faction) was behind Balapara killing based on information with the police. The government sent additional 10 paramilitary companies to the BTAD region.
