SAF: Gogoi takes on Sonowal

Amid blamegame over the SAF games, chief minister Tarun Gogoi dared union sports minister Sarbananda Sonowal to help him hold the international event in Assam.

Addressing the anniversary rally in Guwahati on Sunday, Gogoi said that he is prepared to host the event provided he receives adequate fund from the centre.

"It was my government who held the national games and as a result today we can host any international sports event," said Gogoi a week after Sonowal blamed him for failing to host the SAF Games.
