The enforcement directorate probing the financial transction in Saradha grilled Anjan Dutta in Kolkata on Wednesday. Sources told Assam Times that the ED offices grilled the APCC president for two hours to ascertain his real transction with Sudipto Sen.
Atleast 20 people including children have fallen ill after they ate lunch dinner at a marriage ceremony in Nalbari on Wednesday.It took place in Ghograpar area where a section of people complained of vomitting after they ate lunch served at a local marriage ceremoney in the afternoon. The enforcement directorate steps up probe to ascertain Anjan Dutt's financial transaction with Sudipto Sen. Two ED officers are believed to have collected Dutta's banking details from Chandmari and Dispur branches on Wednesday. Then the two member ED team left for Kolkata for examing the real transaction. The Saradha boss paid Dutta Rs 1.5 crore in 4 cheques to get his Sakalbela and Seven sister post printea at the Anubhuti Printers owned by Dutta.

Panic grips the Jorhat Medical College Hospital when the baby ICU caught fire on Tuesday. The fire broke out at the baby ICU at around 9 in the evening when a section of the attendents came to see the smoke and sparks at a fan. The panic stricken attendents and mothers started running out of the baby ICU as soon as they came to see the smokes. There is no report of any casualty. Fire tenders arrived in the spot and doused the fire.
More trouble awaits two senior Congress leaders who are allegedly involved in the Sharadha scam. A 2 member team of officers from the enforcement directorate is believed to have been examining the bank accounts belonging to two former minister who, according to Sudipto Sen, took money. The ED team is likely to seize a number of bank accounts belonging to the chit fund accused.
