A media sensitization workshop on weekly iron and folic acid supplementation was held today at BTC secretariat conference hall in Kokrajhar. 

It was organised by National health Mission and District Health Society, Kokrajhar.

Joint director, health service, Kokrajhar J C Boro said the ammunition vaccine will be  given to  children from age group of children in the age group of 1to 15 years. 

District ammunition officer Amal Machary said the ammunition dose vvacine was launched in the district from today. He said 2.5 lakes dose vaccine has already arrived in the district and over a lakes were distributed for ammunition. He said total 92 patients were tested of acute encephalitis syndrome in the district of which 13 were reported positive. Seven patients died of the disease in the district last year.

On iron folic acid supplementation he said adolescent girls and boys in govt/govt aided/municipal schools in 6th to 12th class and adolescent girls out of school will be provided.

He said mission indra danish aims to strengthen key functional areas of ammunition programme for ensuring high coverage throughout the country with special attention to 201 identified high focus districts.

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party. Motor vehicle association warns for non-cooperation in election

Election observer visits Chirang

The Election Observer for Expenditure for 31-Sidli (ST) LAC Jaginder Singh, IRS on Tuesday arrived at Kajalgaon in Chirang district.
