BJP not averse to poll pact with AGP: Chakravarty

Assam BJP firbrand and former Union minister Bijoya Chakravarty says her party is not averse to forge poll pact with Asom Gana Parishad. Talking to reporters recently in the city, she has said the poll pact has become necessary only to bail out Assam from the Congress misrule. "There may be some difference between AGP and BJP. All these are ideological but we are united this time we must end the misrule of the Tarun Gogopi Government in the state." she has said.

She further said both BJP and AGP are in for a bright prospect for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and if it so happens, she has said, it will be a big relief for the people."

Mrs Chakravarty, who has recently been posted a the party’s vice president in the national level observed that during the last elections in State, division of votes on mere 30 seats between the two parties was a major factor in allowing the Congress to form the government.

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council will announce the results of the HS examination, 2012 on June 4.In a statement issued by the council on Tuesday, the council said that the results of science, arts and commerce streams would be available simultaneously at 11 in the morning in all district headquarters on that day. On the other hand, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam will not be able to announce the HSLC results before June 10.
