Gogoi vs Gogoi

Two Gogois are busy in trading charges and counter charges against each other. The first one is chief minister Tarun Gogoi while the another is none but Akhil Gogoi.

Hours after Akhil Gogoi announced the new political party, Tarun Gogoi accused the peasant body leader of taking donations from rich and corporate to float the new political party.

Akhil Gogoi straightly denied the allegation. The RTI activist told reporters that the Chief Minister always makes funny comment to belittle even the modest effort.

Talking to reporters Akhil Gogoi said,”I challenge the chief minister to substantiate  the allegation that I took money from corporates. I have already rejected all corporate and capitalist funding to our organisation." 

The war of words took place hours after KMSS announced to launch an independent political party to fight Assembly elections in Assam in 2016.
