All is not well in Assam BJP only a year before the assembly polls. Party leaders are quite unhappy with Dr Subramaniam Swamy’s controversial comments just a year before the assembly polls.
“What we can do? Whatever is saying is his personal comment and it isn’t the party’s stand,” said a senior party leader who refused to be named.
Another senior leader told Assam Times in Delhi that the party leadership should rein in the persons who make controversial comment. “We don’t understand why the party leadership has allowed him to make such comments in Assam,” he said.
Several senior party leadership refused to buy Dr Swamy. Talking to Assam Times they said that these comments would only damage the party’s poll prospect in Assam.
“Definitely we will have to pay heavy price in the assembly polls early next year. The party leadership in Delhi should rein in him,” said a party leader in New Delhi.
The BJ ideologue strongly advocated demolition of masque, masjids and churches saying that these are only places to offer prayers which stoked howls of protest across the state. He further said that god lives only in temples.
