A kidnap incident seems to have raised doubt over the efficiency of police these days forcing a family to move prime minister Narendra Modi.
The incident took place in Hailakandi where a businessman from Nazira who kidnapped by miscreant. That too on January 3 this year.
Since then the kidnappers have been demanding Rs crore ransom for the release of Ritul Kakoti who was on a visit to Katlichera on business purpose.
Kakoti’s wife lodged a complaint before the Katlichara police immediately after the incident where the Richang insurgents have kidnapped her husband.
The family members have given the police call details of the miscreants who have been holding the businessman in their captivity. But the miscreants have yet to be identified.
Efforts to rescue the businessman seems to have made hardly any progress which is why the kidnappers have still been demanding money.
Even the police have not assured the family members of measures to rescue the businessman. Isn’t it an example of police failure to trace out a handful of miscreants who have been holding a businessman in their captivity for the last two months?
Caught in uncertainty, the family members have written to prime minister Narendra Modi seeking his help to ensure the safe release of the businessman.
