11 NDFB-S rebels held in Chirang

Security forces n Monday claimed to have captured 11 more dreaded NDFB(S) militants involved in the recent Adivasi massacre in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur districts.

The huge achievement took place in Chirang district where a huge cache of arms and ammunitions were also recovered from their possession.

The rebels including an IED expert were captured from Panbari area in the BTAD district. They were identified as Hokom Boro, Upendra Nath, Raton Bengali, Namal Basumatary, Sanjay Goyari, Ulla Basumatary, Raju Boro, Konin Basumatary, Prakash Narzary alias Gahen and Ranjan Basumatary alias Kipihungla and Deven Goyari,

The arms and ammunition include two improvised explosive devices (IED), nine detonators, two 7.65 mm pistols, ten rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition, five rounds of 7.62 mm pistol ammunition and a packet of ball bearings. Defence sources claimed Goyari to be an IED expert.
