BNC meeting in Kokrajhar

An emergent executive meeting of the Bodo National Conference (BNC) was held at Kokrajhar on Saturday The meeting was chaired by Hagrama Mohilary, president of the conference and condemned the recent carnage of Adivasi peoples by NDFB(S) today in Kokrajhar.

Speaking the reporters after the meeting,Kampa Borgoyary,general secretary and Anjali Daimary,secretary of BNC said the conference strongly condemned the carnage and urged the militants to shun violence among society.The BNC has decided to visit affected area involving all member organisation and intellectuals and meeting with Adivasi organisation within short period of days. The conference also decicided to hold meeting with Adivasi National Convention (ANC) and AASAA on January 8 to discuss about bringing peace and normalcy among society.The BNC leaders appealed all sections of communities to maintain peace and unity among society.

The BNC leaders also told that the annual convention of the conference is rescheduled to be held on January 19 and 20, instead of January 3 and 4 at Kokrajhar due to prevailing situation in the region.
