Union home minister Rajnath Singh is on a stock taking visit to Assam today a day after NDFB-S militants killed over 50 Adivasi people in its five dreaded attacks in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur districts.
Immediately after landing in Guwahati, the Union home minister is leaving for Sonitpur district where the militants killed at least 40 people in Dhekiajuli and Paboi in two attacks in the evening.
Then he is leaving for Kokrajhar to assess the situation where the militants killed at least a dozen Adivasi people to retaliate the combing offensiveagainst them.
During his day long visit, Singh is scheduled to take stock of the situation at a meeting with met Chief minister Tarun Gogoi towards the afternoon. Meanwhile, chief minister has dispatched five ministers to visit these trouble torn areas to assess the situation.
