Sources told Assam Times that the chief minister would drop around 9 cabinet colleagues to induct 12 others. Proadyut Bordoloi, Rockybul Hussain, Ajanta Neog are among seven others who have been spared. Akon Bora, Nazrul Islam, Prithvi Majhi, Tanka Bahadur Rai, Kharsng Ingty are among the losers in the soon to be reshuffled cabinet.
The chief minister is unlikely to induct his trusted Anjan Dutta who is likely to replace APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita. Bhupen Bora, Sarat Borkotoky, Bidya Singh Englang, Chandan Sarkar, Debobrata Saikia, Arun Kumar Bhuyan are expected to be inducted in the cabinet.
