Incidents of racist attack on the north east people refuse to die down. Goons in Gurgaon assaulted two youths from Nagaland on Thursday a day after a Manipur student was beaten up by local youths in Bangore.
The fresh incident took place at Gurgaon where over ten local goons caught Awang and Chester in Sikanderpur area and mercilessly beat up with cricket bats and hockey sticks.
According to the complaint, a few youths took them to a nearby market at around 1 midnight to be beaten up. Their hairs were cut off and asked them to leave the area along with their friends. Later the duo were rushed to a nearby Civil Hospital where they have been undergoing treatment.

A truck driver was killed and five others have been injured when two trucks collided heads on in the out skirt of Guwahati on Wednesday. The mishap took place at Sarutezpur at around 7.30 where a truck carrying sand collided its head on another truck. One person died on the spot while five others have been sent to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
Two bikers were killed at a tragic mishap in the outskirt of Guwahati on Wednesday. The mishap took place near Boko in the morning when the bikers were crushed to death by a vehicle. Identified as Manoj Rabha and Nirav Rabha, the bikers died on the spot.
Kamrup district administration on Monday prohibited the sale of Assamese attires made of genuine Assam Silk and imported Benarasi silk in the same shop from Monday in the district.The order was notified by Deputy Commissioner S K Roy under Section 144 of the CrPC. The silk clothes would have to be sold in separate shops with signboards clearly stating which variety was being stocked.For protection of the local silk industry, the administration would also search for artificial silk clothes. Security forces killed a GNLA militant at an encounter in Goalpara district on Sunday.According to police, the two GNLA cadres, riding a bike, fired at the security when they were intercepted by the team on a road in Khashi Ghaghra. One GNLA militant Khowak Marak was killed and his associate Niksrang Sangma injured. Sangma was rushed to the Guwahati Medical College. A pistol and four bullets were recovered from the militants based in Meghalaya. The operation was conducted jointly by Assam Police and 19 Dogra Regiment.
