ABSU organizes junior competition

The Baksa District unit of the ABSU organized a junior level competition at Subankhata High School, Baksa recently. These competitors won in different categories - extempore speech: 1st Prize - Nabin Brahma (Subankhata), 2nd Prize-Bharat Brahma (Kumarikata), 3rd Prize-Ghonoprya Basumatary (Barbari).

Result of the Memory test competition - 1st Prize-Rupa Goyari (Barbari), 2nd Prize-Namita Swrgiary (Barbari), 3rd Prize-Dharmajit Boro (Kumarikata).

Security forces deployed in the combing operation in BTAD areas have nabbed 12 NDFB-S rebels from three places on Sunday. According to police, all the rebels were nabbed from three different places in Chirang districts during a joint operation by police, CRPF and SSB. They include two dreaded central body member along with a deputy commander and a platoon commander. Interrogation is in progress to confirm their links with the recent massacre. Police further seized 4 AK-56 rifles, five pistols, one .303 rifle, one .315 rifle, 12 magazines, four grenades and 785 rounds of ammunition from their possession.
