Gogoi on stock taking visit to Golaghat

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi is on a stock taking visit to Uriam Ghat area today a week after Naga miscreants killed at least 14 people.

Apart from reviewing the situation with top ranked police and civil officials, the chief minister is visiting the relief camps.

On the other hand, the Assam government claimed to have restored peace and normalcy in the troubled torn areas bordering Nagaland.

The authorities have urged the panic stricken people to go back to their homes.
