The All AssamStudents Union on Saturday demanded governor JB Patnaik’s intervention into the Assam-Nagaland border flare up. Led by AASU adviser Dr Samujjjal Bhattacharya, a delegation of the students’ organization called on Patnaik at 3-30 in the Raj Bhawan and discussed the situation in UriamGhat. The delegation further urged the governor to step up the measures to bail out the flood affected people in Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts.
Talking to reporters, the AASU leaders said that Patnaik assured them of steps to look into their demands.
