Eid-Ul-Fitre festivity grips everywhere

 Amid much pomp and gaiety, Assam is celebrating Eid-Ul-Fitre on Tuesday along with other parts on this planet.

Dressed in traditional attire, the Muslim people thronged in thousands at the mosques and joined the community namaj in the morning.

Then they hugged each other to wish on the occasion. After the religious formalities, they visited each others serving sweets and cakes to mark the occasion.

Governor JB Patnaik, Chief minister Tarun Gogoi and his cabinet colleagues, AIUDF president Badaruddin Ajmal, AGP working president Atul Bora and BJP state president Sarbananda Sonowal wished the people on the occasion.

The Eid celebration on Tuesday was announced on Monday evening by the Imam of the Nakhoda Mosque, Mohammed Shafi Qasmi who sighted the moon.       

Thousands of Muslim people thronged at Magurmari Fakiragram Idgah ground to joined the community namaz. Festivity grips in the villages like Magurmari, Pakrital, Kashimari, Bechimari, Purani Bazar, Singimari, Sandla, Moinartal where the people prayed for peace and unity among society.

Namaz was also organized in Kokrajhar town bazaar Idgha, Kodaldowa, Kokrajhar Bagisha in the district on the occasion.

BPF vice-president Baktar Ali Ahmed extended his best greetings to the devotees of the Islam religion on the occasion of Idd-ul-Fitre and hoped for peace and unity among all sections of community.

Secretary of Janagostiya Aikhya Manch Motiar Rahman has also extended his best wishes to all sections of community on the occasion of Idd-ul-Fitre said the festive occasion will bring a healthy and united society among society.
