Majuli reeling under flood

The overall flood situation in Majuli remains grim where over 25,000 people living in 65 villages have been reeling under the flash flood following heavy rain.

The administration has shifted the marooned families to higher places.

The Jorhat district administration has been deploying extra boats, medicines, tarpaulins, kerosene and salt ready to deal with the situation.
