Flood waters are wreaking havoc in many parts of upper Assam districts throwing normal life out of gear.
The river Brahmaputra and its tributaries are flowing above the danger level following the heavy downpour in the catchment areas in the neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh.
Many parts Jorhat districts have come under the surging waters of the river Bhugdoi. The flood waters of the Teok river have shown some let up sign on Wednesday.
In Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts, most of the rivers are flowing above the danger level where flood waters have damaged crops in several hectares of land.
