AASU, ABSU slam Gogoi & Himanta

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) president Sankar Prasad Roy and All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) president Promod Boro slammed the Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Himanta Biswa Sarma, education minister for their dirty politics in the name of dissidents in the state.

Roy strongly criticized the state ruling party congress for descending drama on their leadership portfolio forgetting development work in the state.

Attending at a function of felicitation to meritorious students organized by the Kokrajhar district AASU here on Monday said the education minister lobbing the depty chief ministership portfolio forgeting the development works for his department works where the lots of infrastructure development works in the region has not been fulfilled in right time.
He also urges the all leader of the ruling party of the state to give attention for public development agenda.
He also mention that there many student in the region carrying their class without textbooks after passed six months, the students are not getting books, Roy demanded the education minister to keep attention on the matter,as students should  not be depressed brains of the students.

He said that the chief minister Gogoi vs Himanta and also other dissidents were busy in their political power seat managing and they do not have time to think about education development and others department in the state.

He has urged the CM Gpogoi and Himanta to stop dissidents’ game and think welfare, development activities for common masses in the state. He also demanded the CM and Sarma to provide books and other shortages which many schools are facing problems in the whole state.

Promod Boro, ABSU president said that the ruling congress govt is busy in dissidents’ group politics for their power and they have no time to works for students’ education welfare purpose.

He also mentioned that the Chief Minister of the state haven’t agree for update the NRC having Supreme Court has directed to start jobs, yet the state government have bot not started the update. He asks the Chief Minister from when and where will start the NRC update in the state.

Pramod Boro president of All Bodo Student Union (ABSU) strongly slammed the State education department and said the department totally corrupt the development slogan by the government is mingles. He said that given new appointment in the in the department is not development their implementation is the main agenda. He alleged that the state government not gives initiative measure for Bodo medium school despising urge to Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Boro said that the ‘No Doctor and Staff’ has been attending in time in the dispensary and civil hospitals in the BTAD, only one ANM nurse running the dispensary without doctor attendings. The dispensary is running without water supply and much to the problem of the patients.

The student leaders Roy and Boro said that they have been demanding Congress ruling govt to make a policy for update of NRC, but not a single step was taken by Congress govt. They are hoping that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take stern action against illegal Bangladhesis and upgration of NRC.

A total of 25 meritorious students, who passed out in the HSLC with distinction marks were felicitated in the function, Hemanta Kr. Barua Vice chancellor of Bodoland University, Nabojyoti Roy President AASU Kokrajhar district, Lawrence Islary president ABSU Kokrajhar district unit were present in the function.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday.  Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja   of Baksa district.
