Man run over by train

A man was run over by train at West point of Kokrajhar railway station this noon in Kokrajhar.

The body was run over by a down train this noon around 11.30 am which identified as Krishna Biswas(20) of  Magistrate Colony, ward no.9 in Kokrajhar town.Kokrajhar GRPF recovered the body in presence of magistrate and sent for postmortem,said a GRPF official.

NDFB-S ultra held

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. He was identified as Sanjay Narzary of Borsabil village. A pistol, two round ammunition was recovered from him.

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
