Hemo Gogoi may be the chairman of sivasagar District Council

According to an preepool assumption rulling Congress(I) party gain absolute majority in Sivasagar District Council, But the chairman of the council has not not selected till today. Now there are three possible candidates for the post; horse trading is going an among these three candidates

They are, Dondeshwar Chetia of Lakowa Zila Parishad under Mahmora constituency, Lokhi Handique of Zuktoli Zila Parished and Hemo Gogoi of Athkhel Zila Parished, both belong Nazira Constituency.

Dondeshwar Chetia is back up the Parliamentary Seceratry and Local MLA mahmora Sri Sorat Saikia, Lakhi Handique is a new comer in congress party and Hemo Gogoi is an experienced politicians among these three rivals. Hemo Gogoi is also fevourate candidate of the union minister and king maker Bijoy Krishna Handique, but Mr B.K. Handique is still silent in this regard.

People are thinking that most probability Hemo Gogoi would be the chairman of the Sivasagar District council.
