MYC demands better power scene

Annoyed by frequent power cuts, Mailoo Youth Club  submitted a memorandum to APDCL’s Kheroni-based SDO in west Karbi Anglong to improvement the scene.

The organization has demanded immediate measures to improve power supply in Lamshakahanj Feeder.

They told Assam Times that this range gets power for only 3 to 4 hours a day.

Led by MYC president Pankaj Chauhan, the rally was attended by thousands of people who helped the organization  prepare the memorandum.

The officials assured them of steps to improve the services within few day.

The foundation of the new Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Diphu legislative building laid by CEM Tuliram Ronghang on Wednesday. 
The Lok Sabha polls in Assam are over in three Phases. The Election Commission has partially relaxed the Model Code of Conduct on regular administrative and development functionings in all districts. The country’s poll panel, in a recent letter to the Chief Secretary and Chief Electoral Officer directed  that all normal administrative works & development activities of the government may now be taken up.
This road which connects Kheroni to Lamshakhanj under the Baithalangso sub division in West Karbi Anglong was constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) scheme. Unfortunately, several small ponds dot the road now posing severe inconvenience to the commuters. Apparently no repairments were carried out after the road was constructed. The government must initiate expeditious actions to ensure timely maintenance and repairements since it is an important link road to the adjoining areas.
