Mongoldoi AGP candidate Madhab Rajbanshi and his Congress counterpart Kirip Chaliha filed their nominations to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls slated for April 24.
Accompanied by senior party leaders Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma along with over 500 supporters, Chaliha reached the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises in Mongoldoi at 2 in the afternoon where he filed his nomination papers before the returning officer.
Hours after that AGP candidate Madhab Rajbanshi reached the DC office premises with a huge number of partymen. Then he filed his nomination papers before the authorities.
The election in this third phase will take place on April 24 in Mongoldoi along with Barpeta, Dhubri, Nagaon, Kokrajhar and Guwahati.
