DU students stage dharna

Hundreds of Delhi University students from Assam staged dharna in front of the Assam Bhawan demanding immediate release of Akhil Gogoi a day after the KMSS president was remanded to jail.

With banners and festoons in the hands, the varsity students criticized the Tarun Gogoi and his government alleging attempt the gag the voice of protest.

They staged dharna in front of the Assam Bhawan minutes after the Chief Minister arrived in the building on Saturday.
