Ten Days Bharatnatyam dance workshop Concludes at Hojai
Hojai:- A ten days Bharatnatyam dance workshop was held in Hojai initiated by Spondon Dance Academy under the supervision of national award winner Kalasambharam and Nrityabhushan Monjyotsna Hazarika.
The workshop began on July 5 and concluded on July 15. On its last day various dance presentation were showcased by the students of the dance academy along with solo presentations. The Closing ceremony was organised at Ramkrishna Mission Sevashram at New Market in Hojai on Sunday Evening.
Renowned artist Miss Jayamoni Gayan graced the occasion as special invitee. She lighted the lamp and presented solo shatriya dance.
Speaking on the Occasion, Miss Gayan lauded the sincere effort made by the spondon academy members to develop the cultural integrity through this Bharatnatyam workshop which needs to be encouraged much more.
"Bharatanatyam is more than just a traditional Indian dance", She added.
Monjyotsna Hazarika of Spondon Academy said ,"This academy continues its regular classes on every sunday at Desh Bandhu Vidya Pith High School in Hojai, Interested parents who wants to see their children's learning Bharatnatyam, Shatriya dance and other dance formats may contact with our teacher at 8403971413."

HOJAI: Amid simmering shock and anger over sexual crimes across the nation two miscreants allegedly gangraped a girl in Hojai before being dumped on the National Highway No 54 on Wednesday. Local residents spotted the girl in dire straights in the morning who called up police and rushed her to the Nilbagan Model Hospital.
