Digital Lab inaugurated in the Jnandeep Academy

Guwahati: On the first day of New Year 2021 the MP of Guwahati Parliamentary Constituency Smt Queen Ozha along with Managing Director, APDCL Shri Rakesh Kr. Agarwal, IAS inaugurated the Digital Literacy Lab at Jnandeep Academy situated at Bamunimodam, Guwahati. “Jnandeep Academy”, a local community school which is imparting education up to class-X giving importance on digital literacy initiated this project for the development of students. The principlal of the school Shri Hemanta Kr. Goswami welcoming all the dignitaries expressing gratitude to both the Guests for their helping hands in the inaugural meeting has stated that after COVID-19 in school education digital literacy become the part and parcel of school education. And for that a high-tech digital lab is required to impart the basic understanding of digital literacy among the school students from an early childhood.

MP Smti Queen Ozha, as the Chief Guest inspiring the students and parents has stated that the New Education Policy of the Modi Government will give a new ray of hope to our students. She expressed her gratitude to the students, teachers, and school authority for maintaining COVID protocol also said that everyone should make aware their own community regarding the precautionary measures of COVID. She also said that the success of the nation is depending upon the success of the students.

Asserting the importance of digital literacy Shri Rakesh Kr. Agarwal, IAS who was an alumnus  of BITS Pilani said that digital world has changed the concept of education. He gave many examples before the students that how the students of other discipline also get engagement in the field of computer science through digital literacy programme. Shri Agarwal also has expressed his gratitude to the Media Adviser to the Chief Minister of Assam Shri Hrishikesh Goswami for inspiring him to be a part of such digital project and stated that if he would be called for teaching, he would be happy to interact with students on their subject.

The parents and guardians of the students said that this Digital Lab will help their children to understand the advanced use of computer along with usefulness of digital platform.
