A KMSS sustained serious burn injury after his self immolation attempt in Guwahati on Monday in protest against the land patta distribution function in the city.
The bizarre incident took place at 10-30 in the morning in front of the state secretariat when the KMSS activists set himself on fire after pouring kerosene on his body.
Security forces on duty doused the fire promptly and rushed the KMSS activist to GMCH. District administration officials called it a serious attempt and that action would be taken against the leadership.
