Curfew relaxed in Sonitpur

Curfew has been relaxed in Borgang and Bedeti areas in Sonitpur district for 12 hours in view of the ongoing HSLC and HS examinations on Monday.

According to the district administration, the situation is under control and curfew would be reimposed as situation warrants.

Curfew was clamped following a fresh orgy of violence when protesters clashed with security forces during a road blockade in protest against failure to arrest the Chauldhuwa culprits.
