Elephant terror revisits Demow

A hard of wild elephants has been unleashing a reign of terror in Demow during the last couple of days.

One person was trampled to death by wild elephants on Friday night sending shock and anger against the forest department in the entire area.

The incident took place at Chitolia where wild elephants trampled to death a local villagers Rajen Doley at night.

Local residents told Assam Times that despite repeated appeal the forest department has done precious little to curb the menace.
