Over 1000 Congress activists in Kamrup district are helping party high command select the candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Guwahati.
According to APCC, 1055 Congress workers are lined up in Dispur to vote in favour of their choice for the Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency.
From 9 in the morning on Wednesday, the party workers are making long queue in front of the booth at the Rudra Singha Sports Complex to select the candidate acting on the instruction of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
Counting is expected to take place in the evening. On the race for ticket from Guwahati include Bolin Bordoloi, Anupom Bordoloi, Munmi Dutta, Manas Bora and Bobbeta Sarma.
