New chapter in RSC

The Regional Science Centre in Guwahati is all set to get Innovation Hub. The new section is scheduled to be inaugurated at a function in the afternoon.

Planning Commission secretary Sindhushree Khullar will open the new addition in presence of prominent scientist Dr Anil Kr Goswami, Dr Mridul Hazarika, Prof Uddhab Kr Bharali.

It was developed in collaboration with the National Innovation Council. Young students from different regions of Assam having innovative ideas will be promoted to convert their ideas into tangible working models in this section.

The ‘Innovation Hub’ is basically a resource centre-cum-laboratory which provides a platform to the young students to engage themselves in innovative and creative activities. The main idea is to promote creative thinking and problem solving ability through hands on activities and experiments.
