No pact with AGP: BJP

There seems to be hardly any possibility of pact between AGP and BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

State BJP leadership have categorically denied any move for an alliance with AGP after they discussed it in a crucial meeting in Tezpur.

State BJP president Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday said that the party would go it alone in the general elections. The meeting was attended by senior leader SS Ahluwaliah along with Sarbananda Sonowal, Rajen Gohain, Bijoya Chakravartty.

Hours before it AGP president Prafulla Kumar Mahanta said that the party was prepared to fight it alone in the general elections.
