Prodyut Bora to deliver GPC Lecture

Promising young activist and scholar Prodyut Bora will deliver GPC Lecture tomorrow (Jan 1, 2014) at 3 pm in the Guwahati Press Club (GPC) auditorium. An IIM graduate and presently a national executive member of Bharatiya Janata Party, Bora is scheduled to speak about the role of youths in the political sphere of India in the coming days.

Bora, who studied successively at Rashtriya Indian Military (Dehra Dun), Delhi Public School (Noida), St Stephen’s College (Delhi) and Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad) will also highlight the new generation politics in the country in reference to world scenario.

Physiotherapy camp organized at press club

On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day, a physiotherapy camp has been organized tomorrow (8 September 2017) at Guwahati Press Club. The free camp, open for all member-journalists of the press club, will start at 1 pm and conclude by 5 pm. Nilakantha, a middle-age scribe of Assam, participated in the weekly evening OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club out of curiosity. The entire batch of 1982-83 high school leaving certificate examination participants from Makhibaha High School (now an HS standard) under Nalbari district of central Assam will assemble along with their families on 16 April next in the school campus. Journalists’ Forum Assam (JFA) expresses happiness and gratefulness over the recent Gauhati High Court directive to the management of Janasadharan, an Assamese daily newspaper to clear all the unpaid wages of the employees till January and also make an endeavour to pay the current wages accordingly.
