Participation in Drama Festival

The 7th Annual Brajanath Sarma Memorial Drama Festival will be held in September with participation of theatre groups from across Assam and outside. The festival, which was supported by Government of India’s Ministry of Culture last year, will be held for seven days from September 9 to September 15, 2013, at Rabindra Bhawan in Guwahati.

Interested groups will be invited to perform at the festival depending upon the quality of the plays and standard of performance. Please mail the script of the play along with CD/DVD of its latest performance on or before July 25 to:

The Pranab Baruah Artist Award 2012 will be conferred upon eminent sculptor Janak Jhanhkar Narzari on May 19 at a ceremony at Vivekanada Kendra, Guwahati. The award comprises of a recitation, a memo, copies of artist Pranab Baruah’ art-work and cash of rupees 25,000.
