E-governance training held at Khonsa

A day’s training on state e-governance service delivery gateway and state portal project [SSDG and SPP] was held at Khonsa, the district headquarters of Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh in the DC’s conference hall on 19th June. ADC H. Matcha formally inaugurated the training programme amidst a huge gathering. In his inaugural address Matcha asked the trainees to take the training seriously as it would stand them in good stead adding that e-governance cannot be ignored in this fast changing world. While welcoming the resource persons and the trainees, DIO, NIC Ajay Kumar Singh underscored the importance of e-governance in this IT-driven modern working environment. He said that the training was being conducted to acquaint the government departments on technicalities involved in e-governance.

The representatives from the departments of Agriculture, Labour and Employment, Land Record and Social Welfare actively participated in the all important training. The training was imparted by the resource persons from HP India. They explained the intricacies of e-governance through a power-point presentation.

The much-awaited Panchayat elections in trouble-torn Tirap district in eastern Arunachal Pradesh concluded peacefully on Thursday. Two NSCN (K) cadres surrendered before Assam Rifles and Arunachal Pradesh Police at an army base in upper Assam today. The two cadres are self styled Lance Corporal Thothung Hakhun and self styled Sergeant Major Dapnong Tonglim. They also deposited two 7.65 mm pistols along with 20 rounds of live ammunition.
