    Assam Rifles donates equipment to government school at Sangbar

In continuation of its Civic Action Programme, the Haflong based 25 Assam Rifles under aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles provided Sinten Tank and Sports equipments to Government School Sangbar, District  Dima Hasao (Assam).

Commandant, 25 Assam Rifles handed over the items to the school authorities. Principal and teachers with school students, school staff, head man of Sangbar and local villagers were present for the programme. A small cultural show was also organized by the students of the school.  Commandant said the Assam Rifles will be doing more such goodwill projects in the remote villages of Dima Hasao District. The Principal of Government School Sangbar and entire staff of school expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for helping the remote villagers and providing assistance to school going students for this magnanimous gesture.

The Commandant conveyed his best wishes to all the students and urged them to work hard to become able citizens of the state.  The event witnessed unprecedented synergy between the civil population and the security forces and will definitely help to foster good relations between them.
