Haflong boys make Dima Hasao proud

Haflong boys brought laurel to Dima Hasao by securing 1st and 7th position in HS Examination -2012. Sankhya Chakraborty son of Sri Jagannath Chakraborty and Sumita Chakraborty and Rajshekhar Nath son Rajat Nath and Susmita Chakarborty Nath of Haflong. Sankhya Chakraborty secured 482 out of 500 while Rajshekhar Nath secured 457 out of 500. Both of them appeared the HS exam from Ramanuj College at Silchar.

Sankhya Chakraborty had also secured the 5th position from Govt. Boys’ Higher Secondary School in HSLC examination in 2010.

Sankhya Chakraborty could not be contacted as he is in Silchar but Rajshekhar Nath while talking to media expressed his satisfaction over his and his friend’s (Sankhya Chakraborty ) success in the H S exam. He offered his sincere gratitude to his teachers and well wishers. Speaking about Sankhya Chakraborty he said ‘ Sankhya is out standing student, he was the topper all along in their college.

The Haflong Government, the only multifaceted higher educational Institute of Dima Hasao is celebrating fifty years of glorious existence as the Golden Jubilee Celebration from September 1 with six –day-long programme.
