DSU celebrated 56th Foundation Day


The Dimasa Students’ Union (DSU) celebrated its 56th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm on September 13th (Tuesday) at Cultural Institute Hall, Haflong.


The day’s programme included, organisation’s Flag hoisting by President, reception of delegates coming from various parts of Dima Hasao, open session and delegate meet.


The open session was chaired by Kebaron Naiding, President, DSU. The Chief Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council Sri Debojit Thaosen graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sri L.K. Nunisa, Gen. Secy Jadikhe Naisho Hosom (JNH), Joithon Longmailai, Ex- President, Monjit Karigapsa, Ex- Gen. Secy DSU and others from various organizations attended the meeting as the guest of honour.


All the speakers of the meeting stressed importance of Students Union for socio-economical development of the society.


Sri Sri Debojit Thaosen while appreciating the organizers said the DSU has marched a long distance through various ups and down and witnessed all the ugliest situations in the district, now the days have come to work together for the betterment of the society as well as of the district.
