Jumauddin Ahmed (14), son of Haffijuddin Ahmed of Amguri Chariali, of Sivasagar town is missing since January 31. Dead body of 18-year-old youth, Abhijit Kalita of Namti-Misajan recovered under suspicious condition from the rented house of Makhan Borah of B.G. road Sivasagar, near the ONGC colony on January 18. The dead body was found hanging on the varanda of the rented house. Abhijit was a driver in the contractual vehicles plying on ONGC duty.

The proverb, “Third time lucky” is completely proved in a dangerous road accident today near the Simoluguri police station, of Sivasagar district. The bike rider's life is saved fortunately. The accident is occuered at about 2 p.m, on Tuesday - a Honda CR100 motor cycle (AS-04-E-4440) entered near the back wheels of the Sivasagar-Sonari bound 709 mini bus (AS-04-B-3438). the bike is badly damaged. Police have taken this lucky man to hospital but his name is unknown till sending this news.
