JFA condoles demise of Ashish Saikia

Journalists’ Forum Assam has expressed profound grief at the sudden demise of young photo journalist and cultural activist Ashish Saikia. He was 42 years old. Hailed from Nagaon, Ashish started his journalistic career with Ajir Batori in Nineties. Later he successfully tried hands in acting and direction of movies. Ashish died on December 22. The JFA has also organized a condolence meeting on January 3, 2012 (1 pm) at Guwahati Press Club. The forum appeals the journalists to attend the meeting.
