The Assam unit of Bharatiya Janata Party will meet on Saturday and Sunday in the city to draw up a set of strategies for the ensuing Panchayat elections.
According to information, the state level emergent executive meet fixed on October 28 will be attended by all its office bearers, executive members, district presidents, National council members, cell conveners and other special invitees.
All MLAs and MPs are also schedule to present in the meeting and the meeting will receive the reports to be submitted by the district presidents containing party’s position and acceptance at the grass root at the meet.
Sources here say the party will act on the inputs from the district heads for arriving at a consensus to finalize the panchayat poll strategies.
The prevailing law and order situation may also come for for discussion in the meeting, say party leaders here.

Three Tiwa organisations are all out to halt the panchayat polls in the areas falling under the Tiwa Autonomous Councils.
