Friends looking for writers

To succeed in this competitive global environment, every student needs to have high motivation, ambition and perseverance to face the various challenges that they face. To do so, they require lot of positive attitude and inspiration from peers. Parents in this age are looking for resources, books and journals that would inspire their children to have ambition and a global outlook to excel in their chosen field of study.


The magazine Friends is a sincere effort by the Non residents of Assam towards the upliftment of the Students and youths of the North East India. It contains articles on career guidance, education, travel and tourism, volunteering and Social entrepreneurism. Chief Editor Mr. Ankur Bora from Dallas, Texas, USA sincerely desires that students and the youth of the North East India will benefit from this journal as the motto of this journal is –To inform, to inspire and to instill. It is also expected that the parents will gift this magazine to their children as a valuable resource for career development and for their future personal and professional growth.

Guwahati : AJP and Raijor Dal will fight the upcoming assembly polls jointly. This was what the leaders of both the regional parties told media in Guwahati on Friday.  AJP president and Raijor Dal leader Bhaskar De Saikia said that they would maintain equidistance with AIUDF, Congress and BJP.  They further said that never they would have any patch up with any national party and that they would keep doors open for the regional parties.  Lyrinjyoti Gogoi and Jagadish Bhuyan called on Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi at GMCH on Thursday where both the new regional parties struck deal.

Guwahati: AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi and general secretary Jagdish Bhuyan visited Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi in Guwahati on Thursday amid the speculations of the move to forge alliance to fight against BJP and Congress. Senior Congress leader and MP Gaurav Gogoi today claimed that the Grand Old party-led alliance will win atleast one seat more than the ruling NDA in the upcoming Assam assembly elections. Interacting with media, the Kaliabor MP said that the people are now fed up with the policies of the BJP. “ People are becoming disenchanted with the BJP.
