Shoot at sight order in Guwahati as situation tense


Five persons died including two minor boys and atleast 35 others have been injured when policemen fired upon a group of protesters in Dispur on Wednesday. The incident took place at around 1 pm when policemen unleashed terror by resorting to firing and lobbing teargas shells to disperse the protesters. The injured persons have been rushed to the Downtown hospital, GNRC and GMCH. Later the angry protesters in large numbers went on rampage and damaged atleast 20 vehicles on the GS road. The entire city is being covered with smokescreen. The district administration has issued shoot at sight order in the city. RTI activist Akhil Gogoi strongly blames the government for the shocking incident.


Meanwole Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi express shock over the incident, but he made it very clear that government will not allow any body to take law in their hand.
