Kidnappers release abducted accountant of Golakganj Branch of SBI

It was last 29th April, 2011 an accountant of Golakganj branch of SBI, Mozidur Rahman Sarkar had been kidnapped by some un-identified gunman from the railway crossing near Chilarai College of Golakganj. The Incident took place around 6.45 p.m. when he was returning to his home at Gauripur of Dhubri district.


In the early morning yesterday i.e. on 8th May, 2011 it is learnt that Mozidur Rahman Sarkar had been released by the kidnappers at Majgoan area near Bongaigoan Civil Hospital.


It is mentionable here that there were lots of rumors about the abduction. Some people felt that there was no real abduction; again some felt the incident as real. The police was also clueless about the whole incident and failed to trace him down. There was no demand for ransom, it is learnt. The family members are also denying paying a single penny to the kidnappers.


But the incident raises lots of questions which are still unanswered. Even the police is still in dark about the identity of the kidnappers or the organization behind it. Details are waiting.

On the night of April 21, the Dhubri police seized more then twelve quintals of contraband ganja from a mini truck (bearing number plate AS-19C/3012) from a parking place of Chagolia Entry Gate of Assam-West Bengal Inter State Border of Dhubri district.
