1st Lt Ajir Thaosen Memorial Football Tournament concludes


With the playing of final game in between Guidai Club and Raja Harishchandra Memorial Club of Maibang at Dishru Playground on May 3, the 1st Lt Ajir Thaosen Memorial Football Tournament – 2011 concluded .


Late Ajir Thaosen was an officer of DHD who was reportedly killed on February 25, 2003 near Harangajao by some unidentified militants.


This tournament was organized by the Dima Halam Daogah (DHD) in fond memory of Late Thaosen started on April 15th.All together 19 teams from Dima Hasao took part in the tournament.


Sri L. Nampui, Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest while Sri Dilip Nunisa, Chairman. DHD attended as the Guest of Honour alongwith his colleagues.


Guidai Club lifted the Champion Trophy by beating Raja Harishchandra Memorial Club scoring 4-3 goals.


Later prizes were distributed by the dignitaries present in the function.

Police recovered China made grenade from the official residence of Sri Mayanan Kemprai, Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, this morning.
