More and more serious allegations seemed to have surfaced against MLA Jiten Gogoi. The independent MLA from Bokakhat allegedly unleashed terror at the residence of an AGP leader on Friday. According to information, the surrendered ULFA rebel went to the yard of AGP leader Girin Gogoi on Friday evening and warned that he would shoot him dead. Not only that an angry Gogoi unleashed terror with blank-firing before leaving the spot. The reason is yet to be ascertained. The incident took place a day after police registered a case against Gogoi charging him with assaulting a woman who undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Meanwhile, Bokakhat police station on Friday evening have registered a case bearing No 65/2011 on the basis of a complaint. Notably, Gogoi was booked two years back for assaulting a forest officer for denying permission for fishing in the Kagiranga National Park.
