Over 70% turnout in Nazira

Amid tight security, over 70% turnout in Nazira constituency in the 1st phase of Assam Assembly poll on to decide the fate of 7 candidates. There is no any report of untoward incedints. In some pooling stations minor disputes were reported regarding votters ID proof. The administration intensified the security to maintain law & order.

ONGC Assam Asset fears major disruption in its functionings following the ongoing strike of the motor vehicle labour union. In a press release on Thursday, it said that it was ONGC is not directly involved with the demands raised by the Motor vehicle labour union.
